The Growatt ARK HV 5.12 kWh A2 battery storage system is the latest generation of high-voltage battery storage for Growatt hybrid inverters of the SPH series and Growatt battery inverters of the SPA series. Each system consists of 2 to 10 ARK HV 2.56 storage modules, connected in series and assembled into a tower with a usable total capacity ranging from 4.6 kWh to 23.04 kWh.
The version presented here – the Growatt ARK HV 5.12 kWh A2 battery storage system – uses 2 ARK HV storage modules of 2.56 kWh each, resulting in a total capacity of 5.12 kWh. These storage systems can be expanded with additional battery modules up to three months after commissioning. Therefore, we generally recommend choosing a larger battery storage system, as this storage can also be charged via AC, which can be particularly attractive in winter when combined with a dynamic electricity tariff. To determine the ideal storage size, calculate your highest daily power consumption × 1.1 – this will give you the right capacity to cover 24 hours during winter.
The use of cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate batteries offers significant advantages in terms of safety and lifespan. These batteries are extremely safe and promise better charge and discharge efficiency.
We recommend floor mounting. For storage sizes from 17.92 kWh (7 battery modules) and above, we recommend splitting the system into two towers.
