The BCU (Battery-Control-Unit) is part of the modular high-voltage battery Battery-Box Premium HVS from BYD. It is used within a storage system for photovoltaic resp. solar systems.

In addition to this control unit, the modular high-voltage battery box Premium HVS from BYD consists of a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 5 HVS battery modules of 2.56 kWh each. These can be connected in series and assembled to form a tower with a total usable capacity of 5.1 to 12.8 kilowatt hours (kWh).

The Battery-Box Premium HVS from BYD is compatible with many market-leading manufacturers – for example with the hybrid or battery inverter blueplanet hybrid from KACO or the PLENTICORE plus from Kostal .
